AER releases materials to support retailers with the Better Bills Guideline

The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has published two illustrative example bills and accompanying explanatory information to promote compliance with the Guideline and is seeking submissions in relation to minor amendments to the Guideline.

The Better Bills Guideline (Version 1) was published on 31 March 2022. The purpose of the Guideline is to provide guidance to retailers on preparing and issuing bills that make it easy for small customers to understand billing information. We have discussed the Guideline in previous posts.

The illustrative example bills can be accessed here and the consultation page is here. Stakeholders are invited to provide comments on these proposed amendments by 31 October 2022.
